Year 5 and 6 Residential
In the Summer term, our year five and six children joined the rest of the Jubilee Federation on our residential trip. The children had a fantastic time exploring the Dart Estuary between Dittisham and Dartmouth. The trip involved travelling on the river in Canadian canoes, hiking on footpaths and woodland trails, tree climbing and enjoying a ride on the zip wire. They spent two nights camping close to the river on the stunning Raleigh Estate in a sheltered, secluded campsite where they enjoyed many bush craft activities, including baking their own home-made pizzas!
There was a real focus on the basic needs for survival, effective team work skills and what makes our lives interesting and rewarding. The children worked extremely hard and got stuck in to all activities - a fantastic experience!
